Recently, we reviewed a LED street light (T12A-2). I wish to talk a little bit about its shape design and structure. You’ll know why I still like it a lot, as a third-party inspector, and even though I’ve seen so many streetlights. (Video at the bottom of this post).
1. This streetlight has a shape design like a python’s head, which very beautiful.
2. This streetlight can be easily divided into two parts, and it’s special to point out that: You don’t need a screwdriver or other tools to operate it. I have not touched this light before, but it can also be very easy to separate the light and then reassemble it.
Please see the picture below. The light’s body can be divided into two. The upper part is the electrical part containing a light source, power supply, and lightning protector. The lower part is the glass cover.
Please see the picture below. I was able to easily assemble this streetlight again by putting the two axes of its body without using any tool.
3. This light has a bracket to support the electrical part. In that way, it’d be convenient for the street installation company to install and maintain the lights.
LED streetlights are installed at a pole. There can be wind blowing during installation. Therefore, I simulated the vibration caused by the wind – by tapping the light’s body with my hand and tapping the light’s body with a wooden stick to simulate vibration). And I found the bracket would not come loose either.
4. This light is also equipped with a safety rope. When the workers install the streetlights on the pole, in case the bracket does not hook the light body, the safety rope can pull the upper part of the light body, preventing safety accidents due to falling.
I tried it by loosening the bracket and relying solely on the safety rope to pull the light body. It proved to be effective.
