Waichi LED High Bay Light

Is Waichi LED High Bay Light really 190 LM/W?

As a third-party quality inspector with expertise in LED lighting, I am well aware of the challenge in achieving 190 lumens per watt (LM/W) for LED luminaires like LED High Bay Light. This is mostly because the LED Lighting technology almost achieved its limits.

However, Waichi, an LED Lighting Manufacturer, sent me an LED High Bay Light( Ironman4 LED High Bay) sample recently, they claimed it can achieve 190 LM/W

Brand Parameters

(Note: The data is provided by the supplier, please compare with independent testing results by BackMorning.)

Lumen Efficiency:  190LM/W

Lumen: 43,700LM

Material: IRONMAN4

Rated Voltage: 220-240V

Rated Power: 230W

Color Temperature(CCT): 5,000K

Beam Angle:85°

IP Rating:  IP65

Is this real? So this time I test this High Bay Light sample and verify the data.

Normally, we have two kinds of instruments to test the lumen efficiency, one is the Integrating Sphere, the other is Gonio-photometer which can get accurate efficiency data.

UGR:NO TEST

We have to preheat the light firstly before we start testing  because its output lumen is not stable in the beginning ten minutes or thirty minutes.

According to the below picture, we can see:

Every ten seconds, the light intensity continues to reduce.

In summary, we need to preheat the lamp before calculate its optical data.

This LED High Bay Light has three different power settings.

The independent testing results showed:

So I can give a conclusion:

This LED High Bay Light is a real 190 LM/W Product.

Although the first one(189.88LM/W) is a little bit lower than 190, we can give some tolerance and this one its tolerance is very small: within -1%.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Waichi, the manufacturer, for providing a product with such exceptional luminous efficiency.
